On September 4, 2024, in Kyiv, a catalog of social enterprises was presented at the first conference on fundraising and social entrepreneurship, IMPACTPRENEURSHIP CODE 2024. The event brought together more than 300 participants, including social entrepreneurs, experts, and representatives of government and business. The aim of the event was to promote social entrepreneurship as a key tool for Ukraine's development amid today's challenges.
The conference opened with welcoming remarks from Svitlana Olieinikova, founder of the Synergy Universe group of companies and chair of the board of the civic organization "International Agency for Change." The opening was also joined by Federica Dispenza, Acting Programme Manager of UNDP in Ukraine, and Vladyslav Yatsuk, Head of the Youth Policy Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Key themes of the conference:
1. Social entrepreneurship and economic development: panel discussions explored how social enterprises can contribute to economic resilience, create jobs, and solve pressing social problems.
2. Fundraising for social projects: speakers shared the latest strategies and tools for attracting financing, including grants for developing social business and engaging partners.
3. Partnership between business and government: participants discussed models of cooperation that will help create favorable conditions for innovation and support for entrepreneurship.
4. Workshops on effective fundraising: during the practical sessions, participants learned the latest fundraising methods and discussed how to attract resources for social projects.
An important aspect of the conference was the participation of Synergy Academy graduates and participants of the Impactpreneurship 1.0 and 2.0 educational programs and of the FUNdraiser platform. They took the stage as speakers, sharing their experience and the results of their work. Ihor Korobchuk, one of the Impactpreneurship 1.0 graduates, reported that in 2024 he had already raised more than one million hryvnias in grant funding for various projects for internally displaced persons, veterans, and their family members.
The conference also featured a fair of social enterprises, where graduates of the Impactpreneurship 1.0 and 2.0 programs presented their products and services, demonstrating how their work affects communities and helps solve social problems.
The concluding part of the conference was the presentation of the 2024 Catalog of Social Enterprises. Participants had the opportunity to view the initial version and submit their data to have their social enterprise included in the catalog. We believe the catalog will inspire other entrepreneurs to develop socially oriented businesses, so that through joint efforts we can build a strong, resilient, and prosperous Ukraine.
We are therefore glad to invite you as well to submit information about your organization using this form. Our team will review the application for compliance with the requirements for a social enterprise and will begin processing it for inclusion in the catalog.
