1) MATRA Programme 2024 grant competition from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine

The program's goal is to support Ukrainians in overcoming the consequences of Russian aggression, to support the reform process, preparation for post-war recovery and reconstruction, and Ukraine's European integration.

Who it is for: Ukrainian civil society organizations with non-profit status and international organizations that have confirmed experience relevant to the competition's theme

Cooperation with Dutch organizations is encouraged.

Organizations working on projects in frontline regions are encouraged to apply.

Priority areas

- strengthening social cohesion and inclusiveness, that is, the participation of young people at the local level in war-affected communities;

- supporting vulnerable groups, in particular the reintegration of IDPs and war veterans;

- strengthening the rule of law;

- fostering effective governance and countering corruption;

- supporting Ukraine's recovery / reconstruction efforts;

- fostering parliamentary democracy, supporting democratic participation and mobilizing citizens;

- supporting EU integration efforts, including advocacy for reform.

Grant size: from EUR 300,000 to EUR 500,000

2) Third online startup project competition from the GCIP Regional Accelerator

Who it is for: university students, secondary-school pupils, small and medium-sized enterprises registered for no more than 3 years, organizations, creative teams, scientific societies and unions, and sole proprietors

Projects should be aimed at deploying innovative clean solutions (technologies), including to meet the needs of post-war reconstruction, and should result in reduced emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants into the environment.

An innovative development may take the form of a product, technology, methodological approach, software or design project.

Support for competition semi-finalists and finalists:

- helping innovators go from idea to building a business model;

- finding investors and industry consultants;

- creating presentations for investors;

- helping establish contacts with local businesses;

- an innovation co-working space;

- consulting on commercializing the innovative product;

- financial support in making prototypes, taking part in marketing events and so on.

3) Sub-grant competition to support civil society from the Charitable Organization "100 Percent Life Network Rivne"

Who it is for: CSOs that work in the social sphere and have been officially registered for at least 2 years.

Priority areas for receiving a sub-grant:

- providing quality social services to the population in difficult life circumstances;

- increasing CSOs' capacity to provide services in line with the State Standards of Social Services;

- expanding the range of social services CSOs provide.

Funding areas:

- identifying the social service needs of the population in the community where the activity is planned;

- providing social services in line with the State Standards;

- ensuring monitoring of the number and quality of services provided using the monitoring system proposed by the organization.

Sub-grant size: from EUR 40,000 to EUR 60,000

* Grant administration costs may not exceed 20% of the grant, and organizational development costs may not exceed 10% of the grant.

The total of administration and organizational development costs may not exceed 25%.

4) "Do Your Own Thing" micro-grant competition from the "MHP to the Community" Foundation

Who it is for:

- individuals - citizens of Ukraine who plan to start their own business;

- legal entities and sole proprietors who have been carrying out such activity for no more than 4 years as of the date the competitive selection was announced and want to expand and/or relocate and qualitatively improve their business;

- war veterans and/or members of their families;

- combatants and/or members of their families;

- family members of fallen war veterans, fallen Defenders of Ukraine, and family members of service members.

Geography: Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv

Grant size: from UAH 50,000 to UAH 100,000

* Co-financing is mandatory and requires an own contribution of 100% or more of the grant amount.

5) Sub-grant competition to restore access to medical and psychological services at the community level from Pact

The goal of the competition is to select organizations that will improve the population's access to medical and psychological services in designated communities in order to reduce the level of illness and premature mortality caused by the impact of the Russian Federation's armed aggression on these areas.

Who it is for: NGOs and charitable organizations registered as legal entities, located and operating in the designated regions for at least 3 years and working in the areas of healthcare, mental health/psychosocial support, social services and advocacy

Geography: Novomyrhorod and Novoukrainka (Novoukrainka district) communities of the Kirovohrad region; Bochechky (Konotop district) and Lypova Dolyna (Romny district) communities of the Sumy region.

Activities that may be carried out within the project include but are not limited to:

- setting up and ensuring the effective operation of mobile medical teams;

- purchasing equipment for the effective functioning of mobile medical teams;

- renting a vehicle to carry out the mobile medical teams' outreach trips;

- contracting doctors, nursing staff, psychologists, social workers and other specialists;

- participation of mobile medical team and community healthcare facility staff in trainings and regular meetings dedicated to sharing experience, organized by the project;

- informing community residents about healthcare services in the community;

- purchasing the necessary equipment, furniture and medical supplies to restore medical services in the community.

Grant size: on average UAH 4,200,000 per region

6) Annual Program Statement "Building the Future of Ukrainian Logistics and Exports" from USAID

Program goals:

- building up the export and logistics potential of agriculture with an emphasis on grain trade;

- improving export infrastructure, technologies and processes along Ukraine's western borders.

Who it is for:

- companies, associations or manufacturers of logistics equipment in the agricultural sector;

- marketing analysis agencies, business event organizers;

- associations, non-governmental organizations, consulting companies, training service providers;

- state bodies, for example customs authorities;

- research and educational institutions.

Grant size: from USD 25,000 to USD 500,000

* A contribution from the grantee is not mandatory but will be assessed in the context of sustainability criteria.

USAID will hold 2 online conferences with information about the application process, to be held on:

Deadlines: applications are accepted on a rolling basis, reviewed in stages:

7) Scholarship competition for video bloggers from the International Renaissance Foundation

The competition aims to support video bloggers working on the themes of overcoming Russian imperialism and colonialism, cultural decolonization and the formation of national identity.

The priority video-blogging platform is YouTube, but applications are also accepted from bloggers working on TikTok.

Requirements for channels eligible for the scholarship:

- an active channel with video content updated within the last 3 months;

- the channel is at least 6 months old;

- at least 3,000 subscribers for YouTube;

- the channel's values align with the values of democracy and an Open Society;

- the channel posts only original content and uses others' copyrighted material only under fair use;

- the channel is run in Ukrainian.

Scholarships may be spent on:

- paying for filming, editing, motion design and similar services, supported by documentation;

- advertising on social media and YouTube;

- purchasing equipment needed for filming;

- paying for travel within Ukraine needed to film video;

- paying for online services that help in filming video.

Scholarship size: from UAH 100,000 to UAH 150,000
